Big Changes Are Coming to The Daily Beast.
Over the past several months, we’ve been hard at work rebuilding our site and systems to make them faster, more responsive and more visually appealing. The first step was relaunching our mobile app in December. Now, over the next several weeks we will slowly roll out a new version of The Daily Beast website.
We’ve talked to many of you over the past year and your primary complaint has been that our site feels too slow and appears cluttered. You find it difficult to locate related stories and topics that you care about. To address this, our new homepage will maintain our current mix of stories—from pop culture to politics—that you love, while adding more of a glossy feel that better spotlights our award-winning journalists.
We also put a lot of work into our topic and author pages. They look a lot more like the new homepage and give you the chance to see more stories from your favorite writer or about a particular topic.
These changes will start rolling out in beta over the next few weeks and we’d love to hear your feedback as you start to engage with the new site. Please feel free to email us at tech@thedailybeast.com
